In 1936, the then President Kārlis Ulmanis, visiting Kuldīga and standing on the bank of the Venta overlooking the hub, expressed his vision: there must be a pavilion for tourists. At that time, the Pavilion was really built, and it was popularly called Rumba Kiosk. Various city-related souvenirs and perhaps some gastronomic refreshments were traded there.
Nothing has changed …. This place has regained the ancient name of the Rumba Pavilion and is waiting for visitors again – to have a meal, taste a refreshing drink or Paulig coffee, and take home a souvenir in memory. Of course, all this combined with a wonderful view. Look to the right – Venta Rumba, to the left – the old Kuldiga brick bridge, just across the river – a wonderful Latvian landscape.

Also, our guests have the opportunity to use the terraces of the Rumbas Pavilion to celebrate their beautiful moments in life. We have wedding ceremonies, even at midnight. Both terraces can be used as a stopover during the festivities and call the first toast.
